August 23, 2024. Photo of the old water extraction system. The pipes pumped the water out of the lake and into a holding tank on a hill. Now the water is extracted directly to a single tank at the Soap Lake Natural Spa & Resort. They were granted access by the Soap Lake City Council.

The lake has decreased in elevation for the last 5 years. It seems likely it will do the same next year. Water data at USGS is keeping track of the lake levels.
